icon virtual run lightAn open virtual run does not fit into any fixed scheme. For each open virtual run we decide individually which goal it pursues and how you can participate. This type of virtual run gives us the opportunity to create creative events for people who want to do good with their sport. Examples for open virtual runs are “Million Hopes” (German) and “Beyond Absage” (German).

Virtual Runs from 2019 until today

Since 2019 we have been organizing charity virtual runs. Take a look at what kind of events we have already had:

How do Virtual Runs work?

Virtual runs are very special running events. They take place at certain times, but you can participate from anywhere in the world. All our virtual runs are also dedicated to a good cause. If you take part in one of our virtual runs, you simply go running in the respective participation period. You can do a normal training run on your own or with your friends in your spare time. Or you can take part in an official running event, e.g. a city marathon or trail run. No matter where you do your run, you will be united in spirit with us and the crowd because at every virtual run we all run together for an important topic of our time, e.g. climate protection. With the kilometers we run together, we set an example of how important this topic is for us and our future. At the same time we collect donations for charity organizations.

Running for a good cause

In most virtual runs we support charity organizations directly with donations. Every kilometer counts, because the more kilometers are run by the crowd during the participation period, the more donations the charity organization will receive.

How can I participate?

To participate in one of our virtual runs, you need a free Crowdlauf account. With this account you simply register for the virtual run. The registration is done by buying the corresponding medal or starter pack. You can get them in our shop. Then you do your run during the participation period and enter your kilometers into an online form on our website. This way you and the crowd collect kilometers for a good cause.

How often do virtual runs take place?

About once a month there is a new virtual run for a social or ecological topic. Subscribe to our newsletter (German) to make sure you don’t miss a virtual run. All further information about the runs, their participation requirements and topics can be found above.
